Gai and I decided on a short break and so it was off to Springbrook to teh Mouses House.

These self contained chalets all have a theme of the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. We stayed in the Wicked Witch one. It's a beautiful chalet with just a king size bed - so no kids and is promoted as a destination for newly weds. Even though it was warm on teh Coast, up in Springbrook it can be up to 15 degrees cooler, so at night we had the combustion heater going as it did get a bit chilly. All the wood is pre cut for you and stored in a wood box just outside your door. They also give you a complimentary small port to enjoy bu the fire.

Through out the day we visited the water falls or just enjoyed some quiet time on the back deck, listening to the sounds of the rain forest. We had a creek running just past out chalet so it was very peaceful.

It's also very private as it's very difficult to see other chalets through the rain forest - even at night.
