After a busy April, May was the time for rest. I got another year older and we decided to visit Cascade Water Gardens as it is a place we have have driven past many times but never stopped in.
There is a memorial walk for the Kokada Trail and also a bat colony that lives here too. At first I thought the noise in the trees was birds, but upon walking further discovered that it was in fact bats making the sounds. We get a few that roost in a large Morten Bay Fig at the back of our place, but thankfully nothing like this.

Increasing my knowledge
about the flying foxes.

Bats can be seen hanging around
in the centre of the picture.

Interesting reading. Between
ten & fifteen thousand bats live here.

Our palm tree in flower.
Birds eat the berries for food.

and drops all it's leaves while flowering.

Bear charing a meeting on the Coast.
He likes to be aprt of the team.

Not on his best behaviour. Caught

Eyes too big for his stomach.
the Bear thought he could eat a whole pizza.
