Victor Harbour is about an hour's drive South of Adelaide. It is a lovely country town and one I used to enjoy visiting when I was younger. Off the coast of Victor is Granite Island, To get to the Island you can either walk across the Causway or get a ride over there by the horse drawn tram. The isalnd boasts a colony of Little Penguins that have right of way on the Island.

It's a nice walk ot go around the island, but it was to windy for us and Gai's toes got cold, so we were glad the souvenior shop had socks to sell - all be it ones with Australian places on them.

After Victor I took Gai to goolwa to see the Cockle Train. In winter this is a steam train ried that runs from Victor to Goolwa, but as you can see a diesel was doing the trip this time. From there we went to see the mouth of the mighty River Murray, which due to lack of water from rain and farming has caused the moth to become silted up. Hopefully one day in the future this will become open to the sea again.

hill we had a stop.
