April Home Page

With Easter only a few weeks away, the company wanted me to go off shore to help train some staff in our systems as Manilla was going to become the new help desk. The last time I was in the Phillipines was in the early 80's and then the airport was just drab concrete with guards with machine guns every 10 yards. Certainly not a nice welcome. How things had changed...I had arranged to be picked up from the airport by the hotel car and this allowed me to enjoy the views as we went to my hotel that was to be my home for the next week. A major shopping centre was attached to the hotel and the office was in a tower next door, which made everything very convenient. Walkin around the blocks allowed me to enjoy this part of the city where I was. Many of the staff commute daily in from the provinces. It was a fantastic experience,as these deeply religious people celebrate Easter.
