We took a few days to drive back allowing us the luxury of staying in motels along the way. We had a rough idea of where we wanted to be each night, however plans were thrown into chaos when we happened to be in town the same time as the varity bash was there. No rooms in Bourke so we had to travel 100km's further up the road. All the motels were booked out here too, but we were given the details of a guest house, where we managed to get somewhere to sleep for the night - otherwise it was going to have to be the car.
