Mum was turning the big 70 and was not planning on doing anything special, just having tea around Mary's, so we all decided
that the family would get together and give her a surprise. John flew in from Perth and Gai and I came down from Queensland
and when mum arrived at Mary's, John came into view first and then us. Well after a few chosen adjectives from mum and tears
we all had a great tea and an enjoyable evening. The train exhibition was also on in Brisbane, so needing no excuse a
day was spent there too. I also decided to cook curry for the office staff as my birthday treat for them.
