The Botanic Gardens are set on 20 hectares of land and have over 10,000 trees. There are many sections including Australian Natives , Bamboo Garden and island, Cactus and succulent garden, Camellia garden, Rose garden, Rainforest area, Shakesperian garden, Tree Chapel, Waterise garden, as well as plenty of lawn to play the odd game of cricket. The gardens are well planned and make for an enjoyable day out. The Model Train Station is at the top of the Main Car Park, and the extensive railway tracks run approximately 2 kilometres to the second Train Station.
