Cloudy and a cool 18 degress.

After a sleep in, Clive hurt his back putting on his socks. This is not good as we are meant to be going to see Jim and Margaret today. We drove to Jim's and that took about 45 minutes as Tom Tom seemed to be taking us all over the place. We had planned to have lunch at the Popinjay with them. We had tried to book in to stay here but like most pubs they are booked out this time of year for weddings.

Jim drove and gave us a sight seeing tour along the way. Lunch was really beautiful and afterwards we went to New Lanark Village. Clive stayed in the car and rested - well slept- while we all went and had a look around. On the way back Jim took the scenic route and showed us more beautiful countryside. After an enjoyable afternoon with Jim and Margaret we headed back to the hotel.

Tea was booked for 8pm and the meals were both beautiful. Meant to be leaving for Cheshire tomorrow, but we'll see how Clive's back is in the morning. Drugs and an early bed for him. It's 10.25 and still light outside.
