2010 June Home Page

Cloudy 16 degrees today. 168 miles to travel.

We stopped at Bala to feed the ducks and as the photos show they waddled over in single file, and once the food was gone they waddled away again. Talk about ungrateful !..

We decided to stop at a pub for lunch and came across the Synod Inn. We went inside and had a ham and cheese roll. When we walked in the people there were all talking in English, but changed to Welsh once we sat down to have a drink and eat lunch. The bread and cheese were so nice and tasty

Then we went through Fishguard and about 20 miles out of town Tom Tom tells us to turn left. This is off the main road down a typical country lane. Well, we met a few cars and had to reverse back a bit to allow them to pass. Eventually we cam out at a main road. Right turn and down some steep hills and we were in Solva. We had taken the shortest way !.
