Weather is 31 degrees today, hot and humid.
Well after some much needed rest we had a late start to the day with Clive waking at 10.00AM and Gai 11.30AM. The morning was
spent trying to confirm our flights with Lufthansa as their web site was down, offices that Clive walked to were closed and
we eventually managed to get the phone number from the concierge as there was no phone book in our room.
We decided to go to the Cafe again in the Republic Square for lunch and then walk across the road to the Hop On Hop Off tour
bus. Not too much walking plannned for us today. The tour was only 30 Euros for both of us and it took about 2 hours. We
saw scenery we would never have seen if we had not done this tour. There are also ruins all around the city that made this
tour very special. We only made one stop and that was at the Vatican to buy some Peace Crosses that we saw yesterdy and
Aquamarine Roseary Beads for Gai.
After the tour is was the balance of our souvenir shopping and then out to tea again at our favourite cafe. It was full
when we got there, but the waiter recognised us and said that he would get us a table. One of the Chinese waiters
recognised Gai by the 'cheese burger' fiasco from the other night and and the other waiter came over and gave us a great
welcome also. A delicious tea and back to the Hotel where Gai finally manages to get Clive to get all the bags packed
for the flight tomorrow.
