2010 June Home Page

Weather is not as hot but there are a few showers about.

Our wake up call was for 8AM and we were showered and packed by 8.30AM. Down to pay the bill and then wait for the shuttle which promptly arrived at 9.15AM. Wish Rome was prompt like this. Collected a few more passengers and then it's off to Lantau Island where the airport is. Arrived there at 10.30AM and bags all checked in.

Cleared customs and immigration and then some last minute shopping. Gai bought some books and then two cartons of cigarettes which were AUD20. The flight boarded at 12.25PM and was an A340/300. A very nice plane with 9" LCD screens with 188 TV Channels / movies. Something to do during our flight back home. We both had the beef and mushroom pie - which we suffered for later on. Not a good idea in hindsight.

The flight landed early and customs was cleared with no problems. Now through to the arrivals to wait for MPM as it is just after midnight and we are not expecting them until about 4AM. MPM rang at 1AM and said they were just leaving. Poor Gypsy was sitting in the hallway watching them go - and probably wondering what was happening and when her next meal be.

Michael arrived at 2AM so we chatted with them for a bit and then headed home. Gypsy was so pleased to see us and she went running to Gai for a pat purring her head off. Unpacked a bit and wound down then to bed about 6AM. Clive cough is now a rotten cold and he will not be going anywhere today.
