Weather - a bit cooler but the sun is still strong. We borrowed AA's car and Tom Tom and off to Portsmouth to see Aunty Linda and family. We left about 9.30am and got there at 11. We met Fred, her husband, who is a Physics Professor (retired). They took us out to lunch with their sons, Stephen, Denzil and his wife, Mel, and Alex, Denzil's daughter.

We went to Portsmouth Pier where Fred pointed out Historical points of interest. A very knowledgeable man. Fred can't eat spicy food either - so this was good for Gai. We ended up at an Italian Restaurant where they very kindly paid for our lunch.

After lunch we walked around and then in to the "Carnival" historic area. It was a bit cold by this time, especially along the shoreline.

Back to their house and Denzil and family joined us for a final chat. We left there at 6.20pm for home.

Many thanks to all the family for a wonderful day and we'll hopefully see them again when we next return.
