Thursday 24th December

It was a bit cold last night so we had two blankets on the bed and wore socks in the evening. It seems cooler on this side of the island. Another trip to town to buy some stamps from the Post Office and postcards from the Information Centre. Seems the Post Office doesn't sell post cards as they get out of date - well that was their excuse!! Also managed to get a nice tea towel.

More photos of the drive as we took a different route into town and then back home. Clive then went off for a walk to the 100 Acre Wood. He was gone for about 2 hours and visited Rocky Point where there are beautiful views of the ocean. You need to be careful when walking as Mutton Bird holes are everywhere and it's easy to tread in one and twist your ankle. He also went to Wolf Rock. In the forest there are Moreton Bay trees that have roots about six feet high, so these must be very old trees.
