What a busy month June turned out to be.
Friday June 2nd Gai's neck sprung a leak. We were just settling into bed when Gai said her neck felt wet.
Turning the lights on we saw blood coming from beneath the wound, so time to call the ambulance
again and another trip by ambulance to hospital and in through A&E. Everyone says we did the right
thing and at least Gai was with experts if something happened. A four day stay in hospital and
then home for lots of rest!
On June 4th our latest grand-daughter was welcomed into the world - Charlee Julia Minnine
Muchamore. Now that's a mouthful. Don't know when we'll get to see this little one as Gai is
certainly not up to travelling and she can't be left by herslf.
Mary and Jude come in for a flying week end visit. Talk about short and sweet but at least
I got some dinners cooked for me for a change.
Our Parish Priest-Fr. Ken gets ordained as Auxillary Bishop of Brisbane. What a great service
this was and a group from the Burleigh Parish traveeled up for this. The Cathedral was packed.
Mum looks at a new smaller home to move to. This one is only 450m from where she currently lives
and would allow her to stay in touch with her friends in the area. It's a nice 2 bed room unit
that will be plenty big enough for mum and the dogs, and it has all the safety rails and
features for an elderly 79 year old!.
