Heading to Boyne River free camp today. This is about 50km south of Gladstone where we will go on Sunday. We got there and there was about a dozen vans already there so we parked up. I got to use the walkie talkie today to help Clive level the van on the ramps. Leaving Miriam Vale it took Clive only one go to hitch up to the tow ball. He's getting good at this caravanning! I'm getting better at the final check list too. We are camped up just off the Bruce Highway. Lots of vans and campers on the road heading both north and south. Must be school holidays! There ended up being over three dozen vans parked staying the night. Good thing we got here early as we had our choice of the pick of spots. Clive went for a short walk across the road and down to the river. There were a few people fishing along the banks and the water was crystal clear. There is a mobile coffee van that comes here six days a week and also sells donuts and other drinks. He was doing a great trade as this is a rest area as well as a free camp area.
