Day 8, 19/12/06, Home Page

Struck some traffic jams getting to the Hotel, but we are back in the big cities now, not the small villages that we have become accustomed to. Our room is on the first floor, so up the suitcase and down the narrow corridor. The room is quite large as this will be our home for a few days. Next stop is to do some washing. Consulted the yellow pages and Jeeves took us to one easily, however this one is no longer in business. Gai went into a dry cleaners to see if they could help us. They sent us a mile down the road so the next hour was spent washing and drying some clothes. In between waitin we had a sandwich in a coffee shop across the road. The washing was not quite dry, so we figured that we would hang it up in our room as we have had enough of sitting down and I was getting thirsty !!. So back to the hotel where I tried to get on the net - it was included in the price - but was so slow that I gave up. We had a late night and wil be catching the bus to The Castle tomorrow as it will be easier then driving and parking and the bus stop is just out the front of the Hotel.

Breakfast was included with most of our stays, even though mostly we had some toast and juice. However a special mention must go to the lady who was having breakfast the next day. Not only did she manage to eat her breakfast but managed to fill her wwater bottle with juice, take away two bolied eggs and also some fruit. Is this what is called a picnic lunch or breakfast to go ? You had to see it to believe it.
